Jillybean is a great hybrid that I was able to pick up at Native Roots in Denver, Colorado. I had heard a lot of great things about it, so I decided that it was time I sampled it myself.
Jillybean is a beautiful, yet stubby strain, sporting a pretty deep green and deep maroon color. Sometimes it will pick up more marigold tones, especially when it is trimmed. It has a very high yield and flowers in about 55-56 days.
Taste & Smell
As the name suggests, Jillybean smells rather sweet, just like candy. There are light citrusy undertones, both in the scent and in the flavor. It tastes quite a lot like an orange jellybean and is, overall, an overwhelmingly sweet and tangy strain.
Jillybean is an extremely “happy” strain, meaning that it will help your stress levels diminish in no time.
Happiness will envelop you only moments after you use this strain. It features much more sativa-dominant qualities, meaning you won’t be falling asleep on yourself, even if you use the concentrate!
Because it is such a happy, yet awakening strain, you will find that it promotes creativity better than many other hybrids on the market. If you are trying to stay awake or work on something creative during the day, Jillybean may be right for you.
Being a hybrid, Jillybean is great for daytime pain relief. Most indicas will leave you fatigued, which defeats the purpose of curing your pain during the day! This strain, however, will relieve you of your pain and encourage you to keep up with your routine.
What It Treats
Anxiety can be crippling, especially if it is a symptom of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. If you struggle with anxiety, this strain may be able to properly treat it without putting you to sleep as many traditional anxiety medications can. Not to mention, it’s a great antidepressant!
Many indicas will put you to sleep, but they are usually the most effective for pain. That is where fantastic hybrids like Jillybean come in! Consider Jillybean your daytime medicine. It will keep you awake and cure you of your pain.
Being tired throughout the day can be debilitating to your routine, so why not wake yourself up with an all-natural supplement? This strain will do just that for you.
Loss of Appetite
The inability to eat is a phenomenon that affects many. If that is you, try a little bit of Jillybean. It should make you hungry enough to get some food down the hatch.
Like many strains, Jillybean tends to cause severe dry eye. Make sure you have some eye-drops handy!
Would I Smoke it Again?
Jillybean’s delicious flavor and desirable psychoactive effects are enough to impress any cannabis enthusiast. Being crossed between Space Queen and Orange Velvet, it’s a great daytime strain–even for socializing! I would most certainly smoke this strain again. I have sought it out a number of times since I first tried it, and I hope to get my hands on it many times more. In my opinion, this strain deserves a solid 4.4/5.
