Coco Skunk

Coco Skunk is a new strain that I was able to purchase from Green Solution in Edgewater, Colorado, which is in the metro-Denver area. Though I had never heard of it before, I was in search of a great indica, so when the budtender offered it to me, I decided to give it a shot.

The Concentrate

While I did not get a chance to see Coco Skunk in its herb form, I was able to get my hands on some concentrate. It is an indica that is currently being turned out by NectarBee.

The wax itself takes on a bright gold color, like many waxes do. The crumbly half-gram was nothing short of enticing.

Taste & Smell

As the name suggests, this strain smells quite a lot like cocoa powder. The concentrate form does not take on any kind of skunky aroma, but the scent of the chocolate is very prominent. This translates into the taste as well. The deep chocolatey flavours are highlighted by earthy undertones and even a dash of mint. The strain’s flavor is divinely complex, yet clean.

Psychoactive Effects

The relaxation that Coco Skunk induces will be enough to cure you of any issues that you have with anxiety.

This is certainly a feel-good strain. When you are feeling down, pick up some Coco Skunk and give it a try. Beware of the indica properties, though. You may become a bit tired if indicas have that effect on you.

Although this strain is an indica, it still will leave you feeling creative. Whether you enjoy painting, writing, or music, plan on working on your passion after medicating with this strain.

Pain Relief

The body high effect of this indica strain is quite intense, as it relieves most if not all of my day-to-day back pain. Personally, I found that it did not put me to sleep, but if indicas tend to do that you, you may become a bit tired, so tread carefully.

What it Treats

Coco Skunk has anti-anxiety properties that can help you if you struggle with anxiety, depression, or even Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. If you struggle to relax, this strain may be your cure.

As aforementioned, pain relief is one of the psychoactive effects for this strain. Pain of all types, chronic and situational, can be eased if you medicate with Coco Skunk.

Insomnia can be debilitating, especially if it is something you deal with often. Don’t worry! This strain will put you in the relaxed state you need to be in to finally fall asleep.

The Cons

Dry Eye

Dry eye was the only major con that I experienced with this strain. It was not an intense side effect.

Would I Smoke it Again?

Coco Skunk not only smells and tastes great, but it also has amazing properties. I only experienced one negative side effect, which was not too serious of a side effect, anyway. Considering its useful psychoactive properties and lack of negatives, I would most certainly smoke Coco Skunk again. All in all, I would give the strain a 4.4/5.
