There are a number of celebrities that endorse the legalization of marijuana. Some advertise their support more heavily than others, but they all are in agreement that pot is not a major threat to the world. Do your favorite celebs make the list?
10. Miley Cyrus
Love her or hate her, Miley Cyrus has been a wild card since she grew out of her Hannah Montana phase. The celebrity actively supports the legalization of marijuana, claiming it to be “the best drug on earth” and even going so far as to smoke onstage in Europe.
9. Bill Maher
Political comedian, Bill Maher, has been a long-time marijuana advocate, publicly admitting his use of the plant and condemning its Schedule I status.
8. Snoop Dogg
Snoop Dogg has never hidden his marijuana habit, smoking the substance in public often and writing a number of songs dedicated to the act. He challenges the system by refusing to smoke in secret. He has also released his own brand of weed called Leafs by Snoop. He has also heavily invested in other areas of the marijuana business.
7. John Legend
John Legend publicly stated he does not believe in prohibition in 2013. The ballad singer did not specify that he uses the plant, but he did say that he does not believe prohibition is the answer.
6. Alanis Morissette
Alanis Morissette has admitted that medical marijuana keeps her creative. She believes that it betters her art, and therefore, believes people should be able to use it.

It is no surprise that a celebrity who had a strain named after him would be supporting marijuana. In fact, Waka Flocka is so open about his marijuana use that he actually made a job offer to anyone that would roll blunts for him.
4. Jack Nicholson
Jack Nicholson is a quiet supporter of marijuana. Although he does not speak out against its illegal status regularly, he has stated he believes that the pharmaceutical industry is too large and that he believes marijuana could combat that problem.
3. Cheech and Chong
Cheech and Chong are two obvious supporters of marijuana legalization, going so far as to make movies such as Up in Smoke, that promote the plant’s recreational use.

Woody Harrelson is one of the most active celebrities fighting for marijuana legalization. He has dubbed it a fight for personal freedom, whilst also being open about his use of the drug.
1. Willie Nelson
Willie Nelson has been advocating marijuana legalization for years, using his country-hippie style to bring a unique perspective to cannabis culture. The veteran marijuana advocate even plans on launching his own brand of marijuana, which he will “make sure it’s good” or “it won’t be on sale.”
